Öykü comes from Istanbul, Turkey. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Istanbul University. After that she obtained my Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at the Istanbul University−Cerrahpasa. During her master studies she worked in a research project, prepared anion exchange membranes and characterized them for fuel cell applications.
“Since I would like to improve my theoretical knowledge, laboratory experience and soft skills, I applied for the position in the ETN POLYSTORAGE that offers an outstanding doctoral training. I will synthesize solid polymer electrolytes for hybrid organic polymer batteries within this project. I am eager to be part of the Schubert Group.”, Öykü says.
In her free time, she likes doing Yoga and choiring.
