Olivera comes from Serbia and joined the Department of Materials Chemistry at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana in March 2020. At the moment, she’s working on the development and synthesis of hybrid organic polymers and their application in post-lithium-ion batteries.
She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in physical chemistry, which she obtained at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade. Her previous research experience includes work on nanostructured conjugated polymers and their application in fuel cells, and organic-based electrode materials for supercapacitors.
Aside from being passionate about chemistry, Olivera says she’s a film enthusiast with a keen interest in cognitive psychology.
