Pierre was born and raised in Italy. He earned his B.Sc. in Materials Science from the University of Milan-Bicocca in November 2017 as well as his M.Sc. in April 2020, spending a semester at the University of Aix-Marseille as an ERASMUS student.

He was recruited for the POLYSTORAGE project by Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia) but started on October 2020 at POLYMAT institute in San Sebastian (Spain) due to the Covid-19 pandemic. His project is focused on developing solid-state electrolytes for Sodium-Air Batteries, specifically Ionic Liquids based Ionogels.

“Thanks to my studies and research experiences I became passionate about electrochemistry. I am very happy to be part of POLYSTORAGE project, as it allows me to work in a high level research environment and give my little contribution to the progress of such an important field as energy storage. I’m sure I can grow as a researcher and a person as well.”, Pierre states.
Outside the lab, what he most enjoys is playing basketball.
