Tim Bowden is Associate Professor in polymer chemistry at Uppsala University and head of department at Department of Chemistry - Ångström Laboratory.
He received his PhD at Stockholm University. After a Postdoc at the University of Groningen he joint Uppsala University in 2001 as assistant professor. Since 2011 is associate professor in polymer chemistry and since 2019 head of the Department of Chemistry - Ångström Laboratory.
His research focuses on synthetic strategies and materials characterization of functional polymers for use within energy storage materials such as lithium ion batteries. Tim Melander Bowden currently supervises 3 PhD students at Uppsala University, and has published more than 45 publications (H-index 18 SCOPUS 11/2020)).
