About
Laurent Rubatat is Associate Professor at University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour, France.
He obtained his PhD from the University of Grenoble/CEA in 2003. After a post-doctoral stay at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada) from 2004 to 2005, he joined the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) from 2006 to 2007 and moved to the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour (UPPA/IPREM) in 2007. He was visiting professor at POLYMAT (San Sebastian, Spain) in 2014 and at Angstrom Institute (Uppsala, Sweden) in 2015. He has accumulated knowledge on the relationship between polymer hierarchical structures and properties such as mechanical, ion diffusion, etc. To probe the polymer morphologies, he has developed approaches based on small-angle scattering techniques on large instruments supplemented by microscopy. One of his recent focus is devoted to time controlled block copolymers self-assembly toward out of equilibrium morphologies.
