Our first POLYSTORAGE online event on 1st and 2nd October 2020 was a great success!
In the first part all already selected ESRs had the chance to participate to a very interesting and interactive Workshop on “Safeguarding good scientific practice and Gender Awareness”. Many thanks to Dr. Dorit Schmidt from the Graduate Academy Jena for the great workshop and to all ESRs for their very active participation and the lively discussions!
More than 120 scientists from over 25 different nations and 5 continents were following the subsequent workshop “Polymers & Batteries” organized by the University of the Basque Country and FSU Jena (co-organizer) as event of POLYSTORAGE-ETN in cooperation with POLYTE-EID.
On 2nd October the ESRs were presenting their PhD project as well as the first results during the 1st POLYSTORAGE Progress Meetings. Thanks to all ESRs for their very interesting presentations!
During our first POLYSTORAGE online event the ESRs elected their interim representatives for the POLYSTORAGE “Supervisory Board (SB)“ and “Supervisory Board of Training (SBT)”: Alessandro Michieletto from FSU Jena was elected as representative for the SB and Alessandro Innocenti from KIT as representative for the SBT.
The SB is the ultimate decision-making body of the POLYSTORAGE consortium while the SBT is responsible for monitoring the quality of the network-wide training of ESRs. Due to COVID-19 related recruitment delays the two of them will be in charge until the final ESR representatives will be elected in March 2020.
We are really looking forward to the next POLYSTORAGE workshop and hope to have the chance to meet each other in person!
